The countdown is on! Can y’all believe that it’s only 4 1/2 months until my wedding?!?! Yikes, it is time to start the procrastinating and really start buckling down on my diet and exercise program to get in the best shape possible for the most important day in my life! That means having a healthy, filling breakfast to start my day off right and having healthy, satisfying snacks to keep my hunger at bay when cravings sneak up.
The trouble is that I am always hungry! Being a food blogger, I am always looking at food, writing about food, taking pictures of food and thus I am always hungry!! But now I have a secret weapon and I am going to share that with you 😉 Yoplait Plentí Greek Yogurt is now my go-to on-the-go breakfast and makes the perfect afternoon snack. While I am looking at other food blogs, I can grab a Plentí to keep me from getting tempted by all the yummy food that I am looking at 😉
Plentí starts with Yoplait Greek Yogurt and then adds in just the right amounts of whole grain oats, flax and pumpkin seeds taking ordinary greek yogurt to whole new level!! Now it is even more satisfying and filling 🙂 Not to mention that you don’t have to worry about adding mix-ins to your yogurt for texture 🙂 I always feel that I need to add some mix-ins to yogurt because I don’t like the consistency of plain yogurt.
I was so excited when I heard about Plentí!! I’m already a big fan of greek yogurt and love to use it as a healthy swap for regular yogurt, sour cream and creamy sauces. I love that it has a higher protein content with lower calories and fat. Now with Plentí, you got the addition of whole grain oats, flax and pumpkin seeds all in one perfect-sized container! I rushed to my local Kroger and picked up every flavor that they had 🙂

The strawberry variety is probably my favorite and that is why that I chose to feature it in my post 🙂 All the flavors are very tasty though, so I actually had a hard time choosing which one to feature. I wasn’t sure about the spiced apple or coconut flavors, but they were surprisingly awesome!! The spiced apple made me think of fall and a spiced apple cider that you could enjoy all year round. The coconut transported me to a tropical beach, like I was sitting in a beach chair on the sand sipping on a piña colada 😉
Coming in at 150 calories and 12 grams of protein per serving, Plentí has been making the perfect breakfast for me lately! I grab a container on my way out of the door in the morning and eat it when I first get to work. Then I am full and satisfied until my lunch hour. I actually have a much later lunch hour then most, it is from 1:30 – 2:30 pm. Since I work at a small non-profit and we have a very small staff, we have to take turns so that there is coverage. I used to have to find myself a little snack before lunch because I was so hungry, but now with Plentí, I am good until lunch.
